Do you suffer from the gut? indigestion, bloating, constipation, reflux, chronic diarrhea? not a subject we like to talk about but the subject is very real for a large amount of people. Can it all be fixed easily? well.. it depends! It might that your intestinal gut is low on probiotics?
Have you noticed that in the last 3 years, there is a huge pre-biotic/pro-biotic campaign? It’s added to our foods, our doctors are talking about it, you can find them in all health foods stores and pharmacies… But what do they really do? Why do we really need them? Is it just another fad?
In the last few months, I’ve been eating in the paleo way. I’ve depleted fat reserves, I’m feeling more alert, and my energy levels have suped up!
The Paleo Way
I was turned on to this lifestyle when researching weight loss resistance to help my clients boost things up. True to my nature, I wouldn’t suggest anything I hadn’t tried so I went paleo and things just started changing in a very positive way.
I was described as being a Porsche! Yeah, that sweet fast engine… Ok, so the conversation wasn’t about that, it was about expensive and high maintenance. Go figure! However, the way I see it, high maintenance usually = performance and power! I like that description and I will own it! What does that have to do with carbohydrates? well, all high maintenance and expensive cars need fuel in the gas tank to get from A to B! The quality of the fuel is what will keep it performing! This is where carbohydrates come in…
Wake Up Sunshine! Here we go again, getting all excited about breakfast and why we HAVE to have it.. Everyone is saying the same thing about the subject right? :
<it’s the more important meal of the day>
<it fires up your metabolism>
<it sets your day on a strong pace>
<it keeps you alert>
Well, let’s break the breakfast rules! Let’s stop having breakfast altogether! Let’s just be complacement, lazy and lethargic! Let’s do it! I mean really! why not? if we are choosing to not having breakfast, basically, we are choosing to be all that aren’t we?
Toxicity: The degree to which a substance can harm humans or animals.
I’ve been looking into toxicity for a long time now. I went to Dr. Pompa, asked the questions and this is what I learned.
In a nut shell, toxic elements in our environment causes us to put on weight or resist fat loss because toxins are fat soluble. They attach to the fat cells and causes the cells to continue to release leptin, which in effect causes the pathway to breakdown. Leptin is the hormone that tells the brain to burn fat as energy.
